Possibly the most dramatic setting of any English castle. Amazing views across the surrounding country sides make up for the strenuous assent. Run by English heritage.

Another great day out for us. Make sure you do the woodland walk as well as walking up to the top.

Was here last year - pick a nice day & you can see for miles from the castle. Walks are lovely too. Awesome English historic place!! Going again soon :)

It just took me 30 minutes to part push part carry my missus in her wheelchair to the summit. Do not attempt unless you have good footwear, are physically fit and it's a dry day.
