A Boeing 737-382, EI-DJK, first flew on March 15, 1989. Its first operator was TAP - Air Portugal (as CS-TIB). After ten years with the Portuguese registration it was transferred to Air Malta for whom it served another five years. From 2005 until the ill-fated airline KD Avia had to cease operations in early 2009 it was based at the Russian exclave Kaliningrad.
