Dedicated to St Kenelm, Prince of Mercia in the ninth century, subsequently a much venerated saint in medieval England. The church still contains a substantial proportion of 12th century masonry, with 14th and 15th century additions. It was restored in 1846. Originally a chapel of ease of Halesowen Abbey, it became the parish church for Romsley in 1841.
