La galerie située à l'étage supérieur ce bâtiment ouvre directement sur la mer au travers d'une arcature néo-romane inspirée du cloître de Monreale en Sicile. La Villa elle-même, palais belle époque de style néo-byzantin , se trouve plus haut, et son vaste parc est relié à ce bâtiment par une passerelle qui enjambe le sentier des douaniers, qui lui est antérieur puisqu'il date de la révolution (1791). Le Corbusier, dont le cabanon nettement plus modeste se trouve proche de la gare de Roquebrune, aimait apparemment ce sentier auquel son nom fut donné, même si il n'appréciait certainement ni le néo-roman, ni le néo-byzantin...
